Pilates Body Design

I have been a fitness professional for over 19 years, teaching a wide range of exercise to both mainstream and specialist populations. I now focus entirely on Pilates, which once learned, can be incorporated into all other forms of exercise disciplines. I teach mostly mat based Pilates using a combination of both contemporary and classic styles. This allows for a natural transitional flow from one move to the next whilst also allowing the foundational components of each exercise to be experimented with, so that people can challenge themselves at their own progression level. 
In the classes, I encourage participants to focus on their technique by fully engaging their minds with their body to achieve a level of body awareness where knowledge of being in the correct position while still or moving is felt very deeply beyond the muscles, almost at nerve level.  This technical understanding of the exercises is the only way to achieve the fantastic body changes and postural benefits that Pilates produces.

This is a wonderful centre for the over fifties, there really should be one of these on every high street. The classes I teach here are specially designed for the older adult, and as such are suitable for virtually anyone, no matter what their age (as long as they're over fifty!) *physical condition or ability; as all of these things are taken into consideration.
The beginners class is a cyclical repeating 6 week course; some people like to do this several times before moving to the follow on class which takes the level up a notch but always offers loads of alternatives so that participants can challenge themselves safely.
